​PTP Radio Link Devices (e.g., Tenda Air Grid): You'll need two identical devices – one for the "Access Point" side and one for the "Station" side.

​Network Video Recorder (NVR): To record and manage your footage.
​Ethernet Cables: For connecting devices.
​Power Source: For all your equipment.
​TFT Screen/Monitor: To view your footage.
​Network Switch (for multiple cameras): A simple unmanaged switch will often suffice.
​Mounting Hardware: For securing your PTP devices and cameras.
​Basic Networking Knowledge: Understanding IP addresses and subnet masks will be helpful.
​The Basic Concept:
​Imagine an invisible Ethernet cable stretched across the air between two points. That's essentially what a PTP radio link does. One PTP device acts as an "Access Point," broadcasting the wireless signal, while the other acts as a "Station," receiving it. Your CCTV camera connects to the network created by the Access Point, and your NVR connects to the network extended by the Station.

​Step-by-Step Process:
​Physical Installation of PTP Devices:
​Mount your first PTP device (e.g., Tenda Air Grid) securely at the "Access Point" location (where the camera is). Ensure a clear line of sight to the "Station" location.
​Mount your second PTP device at the "Station" location (where your NVR will be). Again, line of sight is crucial for optimal performance.
​Power on both PTP devices.
​Configuring the PTP Link (Wireless Bridge):
​Access Point Setup: Connect your computer directly to the Access Point PTP device via an Ethernet cable. Log in to its web interface (check the manual for default IP and login). Configure it as an "Access Point" or "Base Station." You'll typically set a unique SSID (network name) and a strong WPA2-AES password.
​Station Setup: Connect your computer directly to the Station PTP device. Log in to its web interface. Configure it as a "Station" or "Client." Scan for available wireless networks and connect to the SSID you just created on the Access Point, using the same password.
​IP Address Configuration: Crucially, ensure both PTP devices are on the same IP subnet but have unique IP addresses (e.g., Access Point: 192.168.1.2, Station: 192.168.1.3). This allows them to communicate.
​Connecting the CCTV Camera (Access Point Side):
​Connect your IP CCTV camera to the LAN port of the Access Point PTP device using an Ethernet cable.
​Power on the camera.
​Ensure the camera's IP address is also within the same subnet as your PTP devices and your main network (e.g., 192.168.1.4). You might need to temporarily connect the camera directly to your computer to configure its IP address if it doesn't get one automatically via DHCP (if enabled on your main router).
​Connecting the NVR (Station Side):
​Connect the LAN port of the Station PTP device to the input port of your NVR using an Ethernet cable.
​Connect your NVR to a TFT screen/monitor.
​Power on the NVR and the screen.
​NVR Configuration:
​Access your NVR's interface.
​Initiate a search for IP cameras. Your NVR should now discover the camera connected on the Access Point side through the wireless bridge.

Scenario 2: Multiple CCTV Cameras with a Switcher Wireless Transfer

​Connecting Multiple CCTV Cameras with a Switch (Access Point Side):
​Connect the LAN port of the Access Point PTP device to one of the uplink ports on your network switch.
​Connect all your IP CCTV cameras to the remaining ports on the network switch using Ethernet cables.
​Power on all cameras and the network switch.
​IP Address Configuration for Cameras: Ensure all cameras have unique IP addresses within the same subnet as your PTP devices and main network (e.g., 192.168.1.4, 192.168.1.5, etc.). Just like before, you might need to configure these manually or via a temporary direct connection if DHCP isn't available or preferred.
​Connecting the NVR (Station Side):
​Connect the LAN port of the Station PTP device to the input port of your NVR using an Ethernet cable.
​Connect your NVR to a TFT screen/monitor.
​Power on the NVR and the screen.
​NVR Configuration:
​Access your NVR's interface.
​Perform an IP camera search. Your NVR should now discover all cameras connected to the switch on the Access Point side, as they are all bridged across the PTP link to your NVR's network.
​Add each camera to your NVR individually, providing credentials as required.
​Testing:
​Observe your TFT screen. You should now see the live feeds from all your connected CCTV cameras.
​Verify that all cameras are recording and that you can access historical footage.
​Important Considerations for a Successful PTP Link:
​Line of Sight (LOS): This is the single most critical factor. Any obstructions (trees, buildings, hills) between your PTP devices will severely degrade or even block the signal. Aim for a clear, unobstructed path.
​Fresnel Zone: Beyond direct line of sight, you need to ensure the "Fresnel Zone" is clear. This is an elliptical area around the line of sight that needs to be free of obstructions for optimal signal strength. Tools like online Fresnel zone calculators can help.
​Alignment: Precision alignment of your PTP devices is crucial. Most devices come with signal strength indicators or alignment tools in their software interface to help you achieve the best possible link.
